Probation Period

TechAbout Pvt. Ltd · Human Resource Department

On joining TechAbout, every new employee serves a probation period. This section explains how long probation lasts, how it can be extended or ended, and what applies to leaves, benefits, bonuses, identity cards, and the documentation you must provide during evaluation.

Duration and Discontinuity

A probation period is compulsory for all employees, irrespective of role or background, and is applied uniformly to avoid discrimination. The period lasts a maximum of 3 months and a minimum of 2 months, and it may be extended depending on your performance.

Performance determines how quickly you advance:

  • Strong performers gain permanent status quickly.
  • Underperforming employees receive two weeks' notice before termination.
  • Employees may also choose to resign with two weeks' notice.

During probation, staff receive no benefits. This includes medical coverage and provident fund contributions, which are deducted from salary rather than provided.

Leaves

During probation, only medical leave is available, up to the following limits:

  • Maximum of 3 days of medical leave within a 3-month probation period.
  • Maximum of 2 days of medical leave within a 2-month probation period.

Any leave taken beyond this threshold counts as unpaid leave.

Bonus

A bonus is intended as encouragement to do more work. During probation, however, your motivation should come from the urge to prove yourself to the company rather than from bonuses.

No bonuses are provided during probation. Once you become permanent, you gain access to all applicable bonus benefits.

Identity Card

During probation, staff receive an identity card reflecting their Trainee or Intern designation. Personal visiting cards are withheld until permanent status is granted. If employment is terminated, the identity card must be returned to management.

Evaluation Process

Materials to Be Submitted When Appointed

The following materials and checks apply during appointment:

  1. If you have prior experience working for other companies or organizations, you must submit a clearance report (NOC) from your previous office.
  2. We believe in double-checking everything. If you have prior experience with other companies or organizations, we will contact your previous employer before your recruitment is confirmed.
  3. If you have a car or motorcycle, parking is available. You need only submit a proper car or bicycle license document.
