Smoke-Free Workplace
TechAbout is a smoke-free workplace. This policy keeps the office healthy and comfortable for everyone and aligns with applicable law on smoking in enclosed workplaces.
Rules
- No smoking or vaping anywhere inside the office — including work areas, meeting rooms, stairwells, washrooms, and the kitchen.
- Smoking is permitted only in the designated outdoor area, away from entrances and open windows.
- Smoke breaks count as normal breaks and must stay within the break conventions in the Office Time Conventions policy. Frequent extended smoke breaks are a time-conduct issue.
- Dispose of cigarette ends responsibly and keep the designated area clean.
Enforcement
Violations are handled under the Code of Conduct. Repeated violations may lead to disciplinary action.
