Public

Social Media & External Communications

TechAbout Pvt. Ltd · Legal & Compliance

This policy explains how everyone at TechAbout should conduct themselves online and who is authorised to speak on the company's behalf. It applies to all employees and contractors; clients and candidates are welcome to read it too. It is the formal companion to our Code of Conduct, which covers day-to-day behaviour in more detail.

Purpose

TechAbout builds internet brands and serves clients in Pakistan and internationally. Our reputation, and our clients' trust, is shaped by what we say in public. This policy protects the company, our clients, and you personally by drawing a clear line between personal expression and official communication, and by keeping confidential information confidential.

Scope / Who This Applies To

  • All employees and contractors, on any public or semi-public channel: social networks, forums, blogs, comment threads, reviews, messaging groups, and public repositories.
  • Both personal accounts and any account operated in TechAbout's name.
  • Any communication with press, analysts, or other external parties acting in that capacity.

This policy does not restrict your lawful right to discuss your working conditions or to raise concerns through the channels in our Grievance & Complaint Escalation process.

The Policy

Speak for yourself as yourself. Speak for TechAbout only when you are authorised to.

Personal versus official use

  • Your personal accounts are yours. When you post about work, industry topics, or anything that could be tied to TechAbout, make clear that your views are your own and do not represent the company.
  • Do not present yourself as an official spokesperson unless you have been designated as one for that purpose.
  • Only authorised people may post from official TechAbout channels or issue statements in the company's name.

Protect confidential and client information

  • Never disclose confidential company information, client work, contracts, pricing, credentials, unreleased products, internal metrics, or the personal data of colleagues or clients.
  • Do not name a client, share their materials, or imply a relationship without their permission. Many engagements carry confidentiality obligations.
  • Do not post screenshots, code, or documents from work systems to public places.

Be respectful, accurate, and lawful

  • Be honest. Do not make misleading or false claims about TechAbout, our services, our results, or our clients and competitors.
  • Be respectful and non-discriminatory, consistent with our Anti-Harassment & Workplace Respect and Equal Opportunity & Non-Discrimination policies.
  • Do not use online channels to harass, defame, or unlawfully intimidate anyone. Conduct online is subject to the law, including Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA). This is general context, not legal advice, and specifics are subject to review by qualified local counsel and current law.

What To Do / How To Report

  • Media, press, or analyst requests: do not answer them. Forward the request to ethics@techabout.com and let an authorised person respond.
  • Official statements about TechAbout or a client: route through your manager or the relevant lead before anything is published.
  • A post that leaks information or misrepresents the company: report it to ethics@techabout.com so we can address it quickly.
  • A security-sensitive disclosure or account compromise: also contact security@techabout.com.

If you are unsure whether something is safe to post, ask first. A short question saves a long problem.

Consequences

Breaching this policy — especially disclosing confidential or client information, or making false public claims — may lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination, and could carry legal consequences under applicable law. Where discipline is involved, the Disciplinary Appeal Process applies. Any legal specifics are subject to review by qualified local counsel and current law.
